Position Overview
The finance coordinator oversees accounts payable (a/p) and accounts receivable (a/r), reconciles accounts, assists controller(s) with daily finance operations, and is expected to work with staff members through finance-related inquiries and questions.
Responsibilities
· Processes all Fraternity, Theta Foundation, and FCS accounts payable invoices with manual entry and data file uploads to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
· Prepares Fraternity grant documentation
· Reconciles PNC company credit cards monthly
· Provides backups for the Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity Housing Corporation (FHC)
· Provides backup administration support including answering phones and doors at Theta headquarters
· Collects and enters W-9 information from vendors
· Supports the finance department with receivables (deposits and invoices)
· Ensures compliance with tax regulations and other financial reporting requirements related to accounts payable
· Answers inquiries from vendors, suppliers, and employees, as well as research discrepancies
· Assists controller(s) as needed
Competencies
· Microsoft365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
· Strong attention to detail and organization
· Eagerness to learn new information and technology, and willingness to learn and develop new processes
· Strong understanding of accounting principles
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Requirements, Education, & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, information technology, accounting, or two to three years of experience with A/P and A/R
· Salesforce, Excel, and AccuFund or Sage Intacct experience is preferred
· Position is Indianapolis-based; 5 days a week in the headquarters office is required
Pay: $21.43 - $22.53 per hour
