Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. As an RVT, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for our animal patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced veterinary clinic and make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners.
Duties
- Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations
- Take and develop X-rays
- Provide post-operative care and monitor patients during recovery
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
- Assist with animal restraint during procedures
Skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Experience with animal catheterization and venipuncture
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care protocols
- Ability to perform basic dog training techniques
- Knowledge of X-ray equipment operation and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician or equivalent certification preferred
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician is required
- Must have a genuine love for animals and a desire to provide exceptional care
- Ability to work well in a team environment
