Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Litigation Paralegal to join our fast-paced insurance defense practice. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in Florida civil litigation, with particular familiarity in personal injury defense matters. This role is integral to supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with court rules and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in all stages of litigation, including trial, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Organize, maintain, and manage electronic and physical case files from inception through resolution.
- Draft, review, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Conduct legal and factual research as needed to support case strategy.
- Coordinate discovery, including preparing responses, managing document production, and tracking deadlines.
- Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel to obtain and exchange case-related information.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Florida court rules, procedural requirements, and litigation deadlines.
- Assist with case management and administrative tasks related to active litigation matters.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a Florida law firm.
- Experience with Florida personal injury litigation, preferably in an insurance defense environment.
- Strong drafting and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal case management software and accurate data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and legal professionals.
