PACER Center is seeking applicants for in-person camp teacher positions for EX.I.T.E. Camp 2026. This role assists campers with STEM activities, encourages teamwork and creativity, and hones your classroom management skills. Campers are middle school aged girls or gender expansive youth with disabilities.
The teacher’s main role is to support campers as they engage in hands-on STEM activities. Teachers will provide daily check-ins, classroom management strategies, and implement interventions as needed. Our presenters lead the activities with camp teachers there to support campers.
Schedule
August 3rd-7th, 2026: 11:30am-4:30pm daily
One 2-hour camp teacher meeting in June or July 2026
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting (preferred)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Background in special education (preferred)
- Ability to adapt camp activities to camper needs
