Responsibilities
- Process all sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations via OpenTable, and coordinate seating arrangements as a host or hostess
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness; upsell menu items like cocktails, wines, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices in accordance with food safety regulations; assist with food preparation when needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly, managing guest relations, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Support the team by managing cash registers during busy hours, processing sales transactions smoothly, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally
- Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink service techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting; multitask efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain training; understanding of sanitation standards in food handling
- Excellent communication skills; previous host/hostess or cashiering experience preferred
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a lively hospitality environment

Pay: $7.25 - $11.00 per hour
