Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable male Home Health Aide Worker to provide one-on-one in-home care for a client diagnosed with a developmental disability. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, monitor the client’s health, and support their independence and overall well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering high-quality, person-centered care in a safe and respectful environment. The Home Health Aide must adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest level of privacy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Assist the client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or behavioral condition to the supervisor.
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary needs and restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe and organized living environment.
- Promote the client’s independence, comfort, and dignity while providing compassionate care.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA standards and agency policies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in home health care preferred.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills for ensuring client safety and well-being.
- Ability to work independently while following individualized care plans accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with the client, family members, and healthcare professionals.
- Must be fluent in English (both written and verbal).
