Plexus Health in Lancaster, SC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to patients. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals in a hospital or acute care setting, providing essential support in medication management and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare staff.
- Utilize aseptic technique when compounding sterile preparations.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes in critical care settings.
- Document all medication-related activities accurately in patient records.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
- 340B experience preferred.
Certifications:
- PCBT and State of SC Certified
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and drug inventory control.
- Understanding of 340B Program requirements and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and pharmacy management software.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
