A well-established and growing home care agency in the Austin area is looking for an experienced Home Care Scheduler / Caregiver Trainer to join our team.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys both operations and people development. You’ll play a key role in coordinating caregivers and client schedules while also helping ensure our caregivers are properly trained, prepared, and equipped to provide exceptional care.

What You’ll Do
Scheduling & Care Coordination
- Coordinate caregiver schedules for multiple clients and shifts
- Match caregivers with clients based on skills, experience, availability, and client needs
- Handle call-offs, schedule changes, and last-minute staffing needs
- Proactively identify and fill open shifts
- Communicate professionally with caregivers, clients, and families
- Maintain accurate schedules and documentation in our home care software
- Monitor caregiver attendance, reliability, and scheduling concerns
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure excellent client coverage
Caregiver Training & Development
- Conduct caregiver orientations and onboarding
- Provide training on company policies, procedures, and expectations
- Help caregivers understand client-specific care plans and expectations
- Coordinate and/or facilitate ongoing caregiver training
- Identify areas where additional coaching or training may be needed
- Help create a culture of professionalism, accountability, and exceptional client service
HR Support — HUGE PLUS
Candidates with HR experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

- Employee documentation

- Policy and procedure communication
- Employee relations
- Performance documentation
- Maintaining personnel records

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is organized, proactive, dependable, and genuinely enjoys working with people.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous scheduling, staffing, recruiting, caregiving, or healthcare experience
- Home care or healthcare scheduling experience strongly preferred
- Experience training, onboarding, or developing employees
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm when things change quickly
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent follow-through and accountability
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced office environment

HR experience
