As the primary point of contact for our shop, you will manage daily office operations, assist customers, schedule repair appointments, order parts, and coordinate with technicians to keep jobs on track.
**Key Responsibilities**
Customer Service & Reception:
* Warmly greet customers as they arrive for check-in and vehicle pick-up.
* Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
* Listen to customer vehicle concerns, ask relevant clarifying questions, and accurately log detailed notes for technicians.
Scheduling & Administrative Support:
* Schedule service appointments efficiently based on shop capacity and job complexity.
* Process customer payments (cash, credit, invoice) and maintain clear transaction records.
* Keep digital and physical customer files organized.
Parts Management:
* Source and order correct automotive parts from local suppliers and vendors based on technician requests.
* Track parts deliveries, verify packing slips, and ensure parts arrive on schedule for repairs.
Office Upkeep:
* Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming front office, lobby, and customer restroom.
* Perform light daily cleaning (wiping counters, sweeping/mopping, and taking out trash
Qualifications & Requirements
Automotive Background (Required): Minimum of [1-2] years of experience working in an auto repair shop, dealership, parts store, or similar automotive role. Must be familiar with basic vehicle systems and terminology to communicate effectively with customers and order correct parts.
Communication: Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and confident demeanor.
Organization: Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using computer software, shop management programs
Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and possesses reliable transportation.
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
