5th Grade Math and Science Teacher Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, student-focused 5th-Grade Math and Science Teacher committed to accelerating student achievement through engaging, standards-aligned instruction. The ideal candidate will use data-driven practices, differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, and create a positive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality math and science instruction aligned to grade-level standards.
- Use assessment data to plan instruction and monitor student progress.
- Differentiate lessons to support all learners.
- Provide targeted interventions and enrichment opportunities.
- Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and campus staff to support student success.
- Participate in professional learning and campus initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Texas teaching certification or current enrollment in an approved Alternative Certification Program (ACP).
- Strong knowledge of elementary math and science instruction.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and continuous professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching upper elementary math and science.
- Experience using data to drive instruction and support student growth.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
Pay: From $64,000.00 per year
