Title: Truck Driver
Reports To: Materials Department
Shift: 7:00pm-5:00am (Monday through Thursday)

Month Compensation is negotiable based on experience, this is an hourly non-exempt position, overtime possible but not guaranteed.
Position Summary:
Responsible for the safe and compliant transportation of product to and from our dock, between suppliers, and customers. This role operates commercial motor vehicles in accordance with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and state laws, including interstate commerce requirements. The Truck Driver ensures timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and adherence to all safety, regulatory, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in compliance with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and applicable state laws
- Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations (DOT) requirements, including driver qualification, vehicle inspection, and operational standards
- Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with FMCSA/DOT regulations; document and report any defects or safety concerns
- Ensure compliance with interstate commerce regulations when operating across state lines
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport in accordance with cargo securement regulations
- Responsible for the safe and compliant transportation of product to and from our dock, between suppliers, and customers.
- Verify shipment accuracy including material, quantities, and documentation prior to departure and upon delivery
- Maintain shipping and delivery documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and receiving records
- Coordinate with shipping, receiving, and production teams to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and material handling
- Report delays, accidents, or compliance issues immediately to supervision
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle
- Comply with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- 1–3 years of commercial driving experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience operating forklifts moving material and with loading/unloading
- Experience with multi-stop routes and/or regional deliveries
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for vehicle class operated
- Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card) in accordance with FMCSA requirements
- Compliance with all FMCSA driver qualification requirements (49 CFR Part 391), including driving record standards
- Ability to meet Hours of Service (HOS) requirements and maintain accurate logs
- Knowledge of and adherence to DOT and interstate transportation regulations
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with DOT regulations
- Safe driving record with no disqualifying violations
- Ability to perform required vehicle inspections and complete related documentation
- Must be available to work overtime as needed to support production demands and business needs
Preferred (Not Required):
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and logistics coordination
- Experience with ELD systems and digital compliance tools
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and industrial lubricants
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
