Assists in maintaining, installing, and renovating gardens as assigned under the guidance of the Maintenance Crew Supervisor while observing company policies.
Functions and Accountabilities
* Follow procedures established by Perennial Gardens to maintain gardens.
* Load and unload materials and equipment necessary for daily tasks.
* Maintain tools, vehicles, equipment and work space used by maintenance crews.
* Provide a working environment emphasizing team work, problem solving, and safety.
* Drive company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
* Assist with maintaining grounds around nursery.
* Unload trucks arriving with new stock as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
Physical Conditions of Job: This job requires working in seasonal conditions from March through November, including cold, heat and rain. Standing, stooping, bending and reaching for extended periods of time, as well as, repeated heavy lifting should be expected. Exposure to cuts, abrasions, poison ivy, and bee stings are a possibility.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 50.0 per week
