Job Overview
Complete Chess is hiring part-time after-school chess instructors to teach at elementary schools throughout San Antonio, including NISD, NEISD, Comal ISD and SST campuses. No teaching experience necessary - we provide full training, lesson plans, and equipment. You bring the energy and the willingness to learn.
What you'll do:
- Teach a 1-hour chess class once a week at an assigned elementary school
- Arrive 30 minutes early to gather students and stay 30 minutes after class for dismissal (about 2 hours total per visit)
- Classes run Monday–Friday, starting around 2:30–3:00 PM, depending on the school
- Programs run in semesters of 8–12 weeks
Pay & Perks:
- $25/hour — $50 every time you teach a session

Requirements:
- Knowledge of chess (willingness to learn is a plus)
- Passion for working with children
- Ability to adapt coaching techniques to different learning styles
- Strong communication skills with participants of all ages
