We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. - Install & Service: Install, program, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems, panels, and auxiliary devices according to NFPA standards and local codes.
- Inspect & Test: Perform routine inspections and functional testing of fire alarm systems, documenting results accurately.
- Troubleshoot: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system malfunctions, ground faults, and communication errors.
- Customer Service: Explain system operations to clients, answer questions, and represent our company with professionalism.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company policies while on job sites.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience installing, servicing, or inspecting fire alarm systems.
- Licensing (Preferred but NOT Required):
- State or local Fire Alarm License (e.g., FAST, FAL, Journeyman, or NICET certification) is highly preferred.
- Don't have a license? If you have the required experience, we still encourage you to apply! We are willing to help the right candidate study for and obtain their licensing.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings. Familiarity with major brands (e.g., Honeywell, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, Notifier) is a plus.
- Tools: Basic hand tools of the trade.
- Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (essential for operating company vehicles).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders, work in tight spaces (like attics or crawlspaces), and lift up to 50 lbs.
