Job Description:
Results Statement:
The Field Technician I will support the Project Manager, staff engineers, lab manager, or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications and company guidelines.
Ongoing Work:
- Perform field logging in various geologic formations across Texas
- Perform lab tests
- Documentation of work performed as appropriate on media and forms provided
- Provide support to Project Manager, Staff Engineers and/or Laboratory Manager as needed
- Perform duties in a safe, cheerful, efficient and workman like manner
- Provide a safe, clean workspace
Key Criteria/Requirements:
- Possess Bachelors in Civil Engineering or in Geology/ or minimum of 2 years experience in soil borehole logging, bedrock characterization and lab testing of soil samples
- Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples as a routine part of the job
- Ability to tolerate year-round outdoor work
- Ability to work nights and weekends if required
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses
- Willingness to travel and work out of town about 95% of the time in a month when needed and ability to work over the weekends if needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs required
- Ability to acquire related certifications, review, ASTM standards for lab testing and field work
