Position Overview:
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a part-time basis, primarily during afternoon hours (flexible scheduling available). The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates well with families, and thrives in a team-based pediatric clinic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to pediatric clients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Implement treatment plans to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, ADLs, and functional independence.
- Document daily session notes in accordance with clinic and insurance guidelines.
- Assist with therapy materials, parent education, and carryover activities.
- Maintain consistent communication with supervising OT and interdisciplinary team members (SLP, PT, ABA).
- Ensure safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate sessions.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas COTA license in good standing.
- Experience in pediatrics preferred (but new grads are welcome to apply).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability for afternoon and/or early evening hours Monday–Thursday (flexible based on caseload).
