Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. We offer in person and telehealth counseling services, and it is up to the therapist/client if they would like to schedule in person or via telehealth.
In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to individuals across diverse populations, including children and/or adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth through evidence-based practices. Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, play therapy, art therapy, and motivational interviewing..
- Collect and document medical records, treatment progress notes, and clinical data in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Facilitate intake processes for new clients and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practices.
- Provide culturally sensitive counseling that respects diversity and promotes inclusivity within therapeutic settings.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification as required by state law.
- Proven experience working with children, families, or individuals in home or community settings.
- Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, medical terminology, behavioral health interventions, and therapy modalities.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards such as HIPAA and clinical ethical guidelines for confidentiality and patient rights.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations while demonstrating cultural competence.
- Excellent communication skills for individual and/or family counseling sessions as well as interdisciplinary collaboration.
