Are you a food enthusiast, home cook, entertaining expert, or charcuterie lover who lights up when you talk about food? Do you love teaching, connecting with people, and turning a simple gathering into an unforgettable experience? Graze Craze Austin is looking for energetic, passionate, and knowledgeable Workshop Leads to host our charcuterie classes
Role: Charcuterie Workshop Lead (Independent Contractor)
Locations: Great Hills (8650 Spicewood Springs Rd) & Oak Hill (6705 US-290)
Schedule: Flexible — workshops scheduled by mutual agreement
Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (not a traditional employee)
Lead Engaging, Hands-On Workshops
-
Host in-store charcuterie classes at one or both Graze Craze Austin locations, guiding participants through the art of building beautiful and delicious charcuterie boards.
- Teach board-building fundamentals including flavor pairing, ingredient selection, color balance, texture variety, and visual styling techniques.
- Create a warm, social, and memorable atmosphere — think less classroom, more party with purpose.
- Adapt your workshop style to the audience — from date nights and girls nights to corporate team-building and bridal showers.
- Facilitate a 60–90 minute session from welcome through hands-on assembly, Q&A, and send-off.
Deliver a Premium Graze Craze Experience
-
Represent the Graze Craze brand with enthusiasm, warmth, and deep product knowledge.
- Ensure every participant leaves with a board they are proud of and a memory worth sharing.
- Naturally introduce participants to Graze Craze retail and catering offerings to extend the brand relationship.
- Collect participant feedback after each session and share insights with the management team.
Content Creation for Workshops
-
Capture engaging behind-the-scenes photo and video content during workshops — setup, board assembly in progress, finished boards, happy participants — for use across Graze Craze's social platforms and your own channels.
- Create short-form video content (Instagram Reels, TikTok clips) showcasing workshop highlights, teaser previews, and charcuterie tips to attract new workshop attendees.
- Tag Graze Craze Austin in all workshop-related social posts and use agreed-upon hashtags to maximize reach and searchability.
- Submit a selection of content assets (photos and clips) to the General Manager within 48 hours after each workshop for use in store marketing.
- Optionally contribute blog-style or email content recapping workshop themes, tips shared, and participant highlights — great for SEO and email engagement.
- Maintain a visually consistent and on-brand aesthetic in all content that reflects the quality and artistry of the Graze Craze experience.
Collaborate on Scheduling & Workshop Content
-
Work with the Graze Craze Austin team to schedule workshops around your availability and store capacity.
- Pitch themed workshop ideas to keep content exciting and bookings strong throughout the year.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to confirm ingredient availability and setup logistics before each class.
Private & Corporate Events
-
Lead privately booked workshops for birthdays, bachelorette parties, corporate team-building, and special occasions — these events often feature larger groups and higher commissions.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to quote, confirm, and execute private and corporate bookings seamlessly.
- Build your own growing network of repeat clients and referrals for a compounding income stream over time.
We are not looking for a professional chef or certified culinary instructor — though those backgrounds are absolutely welcome. We are looking for people who have a genuine love of food and a natural gift for making others feel excited, welcome, and inspired. Our ideal Workshop Lead is:
-
A food enthusiast, home entertainer, food blogger, caterer, private chef, or culinary hobbyist with a passion for charcuterie, cheese, and artful presentation.
- A natural communicator and connector who is comfortable speaking to groups of 8–20 people in a relaxed, social setting.
- Creative, warm, and energetic with a personality that makes people want to come back.
- Comfortable in front of a camera and familiar with creating engaging social media content — Reels, TikToks, and food photography.
- Reliable and professional — when you commit to a workshop date, participants are counting on you.
- Self-motivated and entrepreneurially minded — you see this role as a chance to build something meaningful, not just a gig.
- Knowledgeable about charcuterie ingredients, flavor pairings, and board aesthetics — or genuinely eager to learn through our onboarding program.
- Active on social media or embedded in Austin food, entertaining, or lifestyle communities is a strong plus.
- Valid Texas Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain before your first workshop — we will guide you).
- Must be 21+ as workshops may include optional wine accompaniments for adult participants.
- A smartphone with a quality camera capable of capturing photos and short-form video content.
- Active social media presence on at least one platform (Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook) preferred.
- Reliable transportation to reach Great Hills and/or Oak Hill locations in Austin.
- Ability to stand comfortably for 60–90 minutes and work in a food preparation environment.
- Signed independent contractor agreement with Graze Craze Austin prior to leading your first workshop.
- All ingredients, boards, tools, packaging, and supplies for every workshop — you show up ready to teach and inspire, we handle the rest.
- Fully equipped and set-up venue space at our Great Hills or Oak Hill locations.
- Workshop ticketing, online booking management, and payment collection handled entirely by Graze Craze via Eventbrite and in-store systems.
- Base-level marketing of public workshops through Graze Craze's official social media channels, email list, and Eventbrite listings.
- Branded content templates, hashtags, and posting guidelines to make your social promotion easy and on-brand.
- Onboarding and training on Graze Craze products, brand standards, workshop curriculum, and content guidelines.
- Ongoing support from the General Manager and kitchen team before and during each class.
- A growing, community-loved brand with a built-in Austin audience — your content will reach people who already love what we do.
- You have always wanted to share your love of food with others but did not know how or where to start.
- You are a food content creator, caterer, event planner, private entertainer, or culinary school graduate looking to grow your personal brand while earning income.
- You love being in front of a camera as much as you love being in the kitchen.
- You are looking for a flexible, creative income stream that fits naturally around your current lifestyle or career.
- You want to do something you genuinely love — teach, create, connect, and actually get paid well for it.
- You love Austin's vibrant food and entertaining culture and want to be part of something that is growing fast.
Graze Craze Austin warmly welcomes Workshop Lead applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and culinary traditions. We believe that diverse voices and food perspectives make our workshops richer, more exciting, and more meaningful for everyone who attends.
