Ark La Tex Tire & Transmissions is a growing, family-owned automotive repair facility committed to providing honest service and quality repairs to our customers. We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Automotive Service Writer / Cashier to join our team.
Position Summary
The Automotive Service Writer / Cashier serves as the first point of contact for our customers. This position is responsible for greeting customers, answering phones, scheduling appointments, preparing repair orders, communicating with technicians, processing payments, and ensuring an excellent customer experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with scheduling appointments
- Create and manage repair orders
- Communicate vehicle concerns between customers and technicians
- Prepare estimates and explain recommended repairs
- Process customer payments and handle cashier duties
- Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records
- Follow up with customers regarding repairs and service recommendations
- Assist with general office and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
- Automotive service advisor or repair shop experience preferred but not required
- Experience with point-of-sale or shop management software is a plus
