Job Summary

Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining proper drink service etiquette and food handling standards
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations; assist with bussing tables and resetting stations as needed
- Utilize OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently and optimize table turnover
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an AM Server or in a similar food service role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and specialty beverages
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred; knowledge of food safety practices essential
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service periods
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of beverage service including wine knowledge, spirits, drink presentation, and cocktail preparation preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of sanitation and guest relations
