Spring Leasing & Management is growing, and we’re looking for a detail-driven, motivated Property Accountant to join our dynamic team!

Property Accountant Responsibilities

Prepare bank reconciliations of monthly bank statements to the general ledger in Yardi.

Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger and Trial Balance.

Prepare and review monthly financial reporting packages for assigned properties.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements/reporting packages.

Assist with investor inquiries regarding monthly financial reports.

Provide subledger reports to asset managers & investors as requested.

Handle year-end preparation for audits: reconcile subledger accounts to T/B balances and provide answers to auditors.

Reconcile payroll GL to annual payroll report summary.

Record proposed year-end adjusting entries and return copy of adjusted T/B to auditors.

Pay real estate taxes, water & sewer bills, and mortgages online.

Work on RPIE and tax reduction forms for assigned buildings.

Monitor daily cash flow and request funds when needed for entities with low balances.

Assist management with special projects and other assigned tasks.

Maintain a “can-do,” self-motivated attitude, demonstrate initiative, and suggest process improvements.

Meet all deadlines in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in accounting).

Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience; property/real estate accounting experience preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Proficiency in Yardi Accounting Software, Microsoft Word, and Excel required.

Detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable with the ability to meet deadlines. Starting Salary: 65K
