Location: Tumwater, WA, 98501
Contract Duration: 41 weeks with possible extension.
Schedule:
- Day 5x3.5-Hour (09:00 - 12:00), Mon to Fri.
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join a school health team in Tumwater, WA, 98501. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide nursing care and support to students in a school setting while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends or on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to students in accordance with physician orders and school policies.
- Assess, monitor, and document student health conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Respond to student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health needs.
- Promote a safe and healthy school environment.
Requirements
- Active Washington LPN/LVN License.
- Local candidates are preferred.
- BLS from AHA are preferred
- School nursing or pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
