Neurodiagnostic Technologist II - Full-Time Days FLEX

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist II has at least 2 years experience in performing Electroencephalograms. It is preferred that the Technologist hold a Registry awarded by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists, Inc. (ABRET) and proven competence to obtain a credential in electroencephalography (R. EEG T.*).
Roles and Responsibilities:

Promotes a system-wide culture of excellence, innovation, and high patient satisfaction in the department

Technologist is skilled in obtaining a comprehensive patient history that provides the interpreting physician with the required background needed for the exam interpretation

Performs test set up according to the International 10/20 system of head measurement utilizing all additional recording mechanisms indicated for each patient.

Performs EEG recording incorporating all necessary montages and settings changes that are indicated based on patient symptomatology and presentation

Maintains a clean work space and abides by all OSHA requirements as well as hospital policy

Alerts physician responsible for test interpretation and handles the reporting process for each study accurately.

Handles the patient charges responsibly and timely

Responsible for providing Direct technical supervision to EEG technologist I and EEG technicians

Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities within the department not noted above.
Required Skills and Experience:

Two years experience in performing Electroencephalograms

BLS certification

Well developed PC and Microsoft™ Windows® knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., use of computer keyboard)

Must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.
Location and Shift Requirements:

Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center: 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850

Shift: Full-Time Days FLEX. Anticipated schedule 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday, with one call week ever 3rd week.

Travel Requirements: 0% - 5% travel may be expected.
Pay Disclosure:
$28.22 to $39.77 Per Hour plus Benefits
