Overview:
The MEP Technician III is a senior-level role responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, and system oversight. This position can perform higher complexity mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.

Performs skilled maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on MEP systems.

Completes routine work independently, including electrical repairs, plumbing fixture replacements, HVAC service, and basic diagnostics.

Assist with system installations, remodels, and upgrades.

Makes periodic inspection of equipment and systems to observe operating condition and need for repair and adjustment.

Conduct preventive maintenance in accordance with established schedules.

Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts usage, and system performance.

Provides support and informal guidance to MEP Technician I staff.

Ensure compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards.

HVAC/R, installing and troubleshooting repairing, rebuilding commercial HVAC equipment and refrigeration systems.

Maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and controls up to 480 volt/AC, including motors, controls, magnetic starters, variable frequency drives, transformers, relays, circuit breakers, and DDC components.

Opens valves on equipment such as compressors, pumps, and condensers to prepare system for operation and starts equipment and auxiliary machinery.

Observes temperature, pressure and ampere readings for system and equipment and adjusts controls or overrides automatic controls to obtain specified operation of equipment.

Measure density of brine and adds calcium chloride to lower temperature to specified degree.

Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems.

Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies and maintains plumbing fixtures in heating, water and drainage systems.

Studies building plans and blueprints to determine work aids required and sequence of installations.

Inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe.

Locates and marks position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors.

Repacks pumps and compressors, cleans condensers, and replaces worn or defective parts.

Adjusts controls to isolate and clear broken lines for repair or shut down equipment.

Understanding of advanced principles of Freon, refrigeration and heating concepts.

Has a working knowledge of boiler systems.

Maintains, adjusts and makes minor repairs to elevator systems.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum education, training, and previous work experience required to perform this job:

Advanced level experience in the mechanical, electrical, plumbing technical functions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Required to perform this job:

Able to obtain & maintain a Jackson Rancheria Gaming License.

For those that drive company vehicles a Ca. Class C driver license is required and they must be vehicle insurable through Jackson Rancheria’s Agent.

Possession of a Universal 608 card/certification required.
Pay range: $30.00 - $39 per hour
Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
This is not a smoke free workplace. Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.
