Role & Responsibilities:
As a Pilates Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering customer service in line with our Chelsea Piers Standards of Excellence.
The responsibilities and duties described here represent those an employee must perform. This is not a comprehensive list, and other duties may be assigned.
Conduct fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening and goal setting in order to recommend Pilates training programs properly
Develop safe, professional and comprehensive Pilates training programs to ensure clients are satisfied with their workout program and remain motivated to attain their personal fitness goals
Monitor and instruct clients during private and group Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use of the equipment
Develops and maintain a Pilates client base
Promote and sell Pilates training programs, Personal Training, and Group Fitness classes to members
Responsible for achieving or exceeding monthly revenue and session goals
Complete all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan
Maintain the cleanliness of the Pilates studio
Remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry
Qualifications:
Minimum of 450-hours of Pilates education through an approved certification program
Trainings: STOTT Training is preferred but Balanced Body or Kane School are accepted
Comprehensive certifications in Mat, Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, Barrel and Spin Corrector
2 years of experience, preferred
Must remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior customer service skills; excellent and clear communication skills, both verbal and written; strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Must be able to lift 30 to 45 pounds or appropriate weight to lead sessions
