Part Time Welding Technology Instructor Responsibilities:
The Welding Technology Instructor position is part time requiring 24 hours of instruction per week. This instructor will assist the full-time instructor in preparing students for entry-level employment. Academic competencies and occupational skills are integrated into the program. The program allows both adult and dual enrolled high school students to enroll.
- Instruct in the Welding Technology program; occasionally in the Aluminum Welding and Fabrication program
- Maintain and monitor the welding curriculum based on Florida Department of Education Curriculum Frameworks, the Council of Occupational Education accreditation requirements.
- Curriculum planning to include staying abreast of technology, trends in the industry, and various instructional strategies. Teach, demonstrate, and test students in practical skills.
- Maintain attendance-tracking records of students.
- Counsel students regarding grades, study habits, attendance, professional skills, accommodations, etc.
- Track student performance in the program.
- Prepare students to pass successfully industry certification exams.
- Working hours will include evenings M-Thursday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm and occasional days from Noon to 8:00 pm
Pay: $27.00 per hour
