Job Summary
The Production Worker is responsible for safely processing recyclable materials to meet daily production goals. This position involves sorting, inspecting, loading, unloading, and preparing recyclable materials while operating equipment and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Production Employees play a key role in supporting efficient recycling operations and ensuring compliance with company safety and environmental standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sort and separate recyclable materials, including metals, and other commodities.
- Inspect incoming materials for contaminants and remove non-recyclable items.
- Operate production equipment as required such as conveyors, balers, compactors, shredders, and forklifts (if certified).
- Load and unload trucks and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Process, package, and prepare recyclable materials for shipment.
- Maintain production quality standards and meet daily productivity goals.
- Perform routine housekeeping to keep work areas clean and organized.
- Conduct basic equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and material tracking as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, recycling, warehouse, or industrial production is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attendance record and dependable work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Work in indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
- Tolerate exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and moving machinery.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
