Virginia Auto Service is looking for an exceptional Automotive Service Advisor who wants more than another job behind a service counter.
We are a well-established, family-owned independent repair facility in central Phoenix with more than 30 years of history, a loyal customer base, experienced technicians, modern systems, and a strong reputation for doing business the right way.

We do not sell unnecessary repairs, manipulate customers through fear, or compete by being the cheapest shop in town. We perform thorough inspections, document what we find, explain it clearly, and help customers make informed decisions based on safety, reliability, maintenance needs, vehicle condition, and how they intend to use the vehicle.
Our advisors are expected to confidently communicate the value of high-quality automotive service while protecting both the customer’s interests and the company’s standards.

What You Will Be Responsible For
- Building lasting relationships with customers
- Conducting thorough vehicle-intake conversations
- Setting clear expectations regarding inspection, diagnosis, communication, and completion times
- Presenting digital vehicle inspections and repair recommendations professionally
- Explaining technical information in language customers can understand
- Preparing accurate estimates and obtaining documented customer authorization
- Maintaining timely communication throughout the repair process
- Returning calls and messages when promised
- Coordinating effectively with technicians, parts personnel, and other advisors
- Monitoring work in progress and helping keep vehicles moving through the shop
- Reviewing repair orders for accuracy, completeness, documentation, and proper billing
- Following established pricing, workflow, and customer-service procedures
- Helping create an organized, accountable, and positive working environment
The Person We Are Looking For
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who has already demonstrated the ability to succeed in a professional automotive service environment.
A strong candidate will have:
- Significant automotive Service Advisor experience
- Strong sales and customer-communication skills
- Excellent organization and follow-through
- The ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders without losing control of the details
- Confidence presenting maintenance, diagnostic work, and major repairs
- A solid understanding of automotive systems and repair processes
- Experience working with digital vehicle inspections and modern shop-management software
- The ability to establish respectful boundaries and realistic expectations with customers
- The judgment to balance customer needs with the interests of the company
- A professional appearance, attitude, and communication style
- A history of reliability, accountability, and long-term employment
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Experience with Tekmetric or a similar shop-management system is helpful. Familiarity with European vehicles is also valuable, although Virginia Auto Service works on a broad mix of Asian, European, and domestic vehicles.

Compensation
- Guaranteed annual salary of 60,000.00 to 100,000.00, based on experience and demonstrated ability
- Additional performance incentives and bonus opportunities
- Compensation structure designed to reward both individual contribution and the overall success of the shop
- This is not a commission-only position
Specific compensation will be discussed openly during the interview process and will reflect the candidate’s experience, capabilities, and potential contribution.
