Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the highest standards of infection control and documentation. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
We are a small family oriented practice. This is not a high paced office getting patients in and out as fast as possible, we want our hygienists to take their time and build rapport and trust with our patients. Our patients have been with us for a long time, all of our referrals come from our patients, we do almost no advertising. Building long lasting relationships is our focus.
Duties
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Review patient documentation and medical histories to provide personalized care.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress within the dental office systems.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with team members to provide comprehensive care.
Skills
- Proficient in documentation review and maintaining detailed patient records.
- Strong focus on patient care with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, ensuring clear communication with patients and staff.
- Understanding of infection control practices relevant to the dental field.
