Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Driver to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse distribution processes, including inventory management, materials handling, and safe transportation of goods. Duties
- Safely operate various heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately stocking, picking, packing, and fulfilling orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems such as AS400.
- Ensure proper manual handling and heavy lifting techniques are followed to prevent injuries while moving materials.
- Maintain safety regulations by using personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and adhering to OSHA standards.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, preparing items for dispatch, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and mechanical tools with proficiency to optimize warehouse distribution processes.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and work areas to uphold a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems like AS400 or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations (OSHA standards) and proper PPE use.
- Experience in shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, and materials handling within a manufacturing or distribution setting.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance on heavy equipment when necessary.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or prior warehouse management system proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following manual handling protocols.
