This role performs a wide range of general maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance, functionality, and safety of building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure. Shift: 2nd Shift | Hours: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (hours may vary based on business needs) Key Responsibilities: Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems, including: Lighting systems, conveyor systems, overhead cranes, R.O. systems, dock locks, and levelers. Pumps, piping, seals, and valves. Forklifts, industrial batteries, and HVAC systems (VAVs, AHUs). Maintain and repair facility structures, including walls, flooring, windows, doors, hardware, and roofing systems. Assemble and install shelving, cabinets, and office furniture. Conduct preventive maintenance activities as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including motors, compressors, plumbing, and water systems. Respond to customer service requests while ensuring compliance with regulations, codes, and standards. Safely operate various equipment (e.g., forklifts, hoists, aerial lifts, and diagnostic tools) to perform maintenance tasks. Adhere to proper safety procedures, such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tag-out, and PPE use. Recommend process or equipment maintenance improvements. Assist specialized technicians with facility-related repairs and maintenance. Document work, repairs, and inspections in CMMS and other systems accurately.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of experience in maintaining buildings, facilities, or equipment in an industrial/commercial environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to safely work on and around 480V 3-phase electrical systems. Ability to work from aerial or scissor lifts at heights of up to 30 feet.
Preferred Qualififcations
Preferred Qualifications: Experience repairing industrial and commercial lighting systems and controls. Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair: 480V 3-phase electrical systems. HVAC, conveyor, and R.O. systems to OEM specifications. Pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, steam components (up to 100 psi), cranes/hoists, and other machinery. Experience performing maintenance on overhead and service doors. Basic plumbing maintenance experience. Familiarity with CMMS platforms to document maintenance tasks. Experience operating forklifts and aerial lifts safely. Additional Requirements: Successfully pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. Valid Driver’s License (if required by the client). U.S. work authorization (sponsorship not available). Ability to obtain a security access badge for worksite entry. Physical Requirements: Regularly lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. Frequently climb ladders, kneel, bend, squat, stretch, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift. Walk extensively across the facility during shifts. Identify wire color codes and perform repetitive wrist movements. Maintain professionalism and a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients under pressure. Note: Steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other PPE are required.
