Position Summary
The Parts & Service Counter Associate is responsible for delivering a premium Harley-Davidson customer experience by serving as the front-line connection between riders, the Service Department, and Parts Department. This role supports motorcycle owners with parts selection, service scheduling, repair communication, accessory recommendations, and ensuring every guest leaves excited to ride.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience
- Deliver “Full Throttle Customer Service” to every customer.
- Greet riders quickly and professionally in both Parts and Service areas.
- Build relationships with customers and create repeat business.
- Resolve concerns with urgency and professionalism.
- Educate customers on maintenance schedules, upgrades, and ownership needs.
Service Counter Responsibilities
- Schedule service appointments and manage repair order flow.
- Open, update, and close repair orders accurately.
- Communicate service recommendations and timelines clearly.
- Coordinate technician workload with Service Manager.
- Follow up with customers during and after service visits.
- Review completed work and explain repairs performed.
- Promote maintenance packages and service specials.
Parts Counter Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting motorcycle parts, accessories, and riding gear.
- Look up and order parts accurately.
- Recommend add-on products to enhance riding experience.
- Track special orders and notify customers promptly.
- Maintain parts inventory accuracy and merchandising standards.
- Support showroom presentation and promotional displays.
Sales & Performance
- Achieve monthly sales and gross profit goals.
- Increase customer spend through accessory attachment and service opportunities.
- Support dealership events and promotions.
- Contribute to Parts, Service, and overall dealership CSI/CXI goals.
Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain clean and organized counter areas.
- Ensure repair orders and invoices are accurate.
- Follow Harley-Davidson and dealership operating procedures.
- Participate in ongoing product and technical training.
Qualifications
- Harley-Davidson knowledge strongly preferred.
- Parts, service advising, powersports, automotive, or dealership experience preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and dealership management system experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement preferred.
