Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Execute a variety of painting techniques including brushwork, roller application, conventional spray painting, and airless paint spraying to achieve desired textures and finishes
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately determine project scope and specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for surface preparation, fixture installation, and minor carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry and framing
- Apply specialty coatings for industrial or restoration projects while adhering strictly to safety regulations and environmental standards
- Maintain a clean work environment by managing debris, properly storing materials, and ensuring compliance with respiratory protection protocols
- Collaborate with team members on renovation projects, construction site tasks, or maintenance activities to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Experience
- Proven experience in painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques for various substrates including stucco, masonry, concrete finishing, and plastering
- Familiarity with residential and commercial painting projects along with industrial coating applications
- Knowledge of color theory for effective visual color comparison and matching
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, welding (if applicable), and fixture installation
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics for accurate project execution
- Prior construction site experience demonstrating adherence to safety regulations including respiratory protection measures
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project specifications
- Additional skills such as remodeling experience, handyman skills, masonry work, or carpentry are highly desirable
