Position Summary
The Server is responsible for managing customer interactions, ensuring a welcoming environment, and coordinating service to provide positive guest experience. This role supports both the restaurant and the Dinner Theatre, ensuring guests feel valued from the moment they arrive through the completion of their visit.
Essential Functions

- Greet guests promptly and courteously at the counter with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Process cash, credit/debit card, and electronic payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Issue and redeem tickets, vouchers, gift cards, and promotional items for restaurant and dinner theater purchases.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances; count and reconcile the drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Answer guest questions regarding menu items, show schedules, seating, pricing, and special events.
- Upsell and promote current specials, add-ons, and merchandise as directed by management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked counter area throughout the shift.
- Communicate guest needs and order details clearly to kitchen and floor staff.
- Assist in preparing and packaging to-go orders as needed.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints calmly and professionally, escalating to management when appropriate.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for order entry, refunds, and voids.
- Cross-train and provide coverage between restaurant and dinner theater areas as assigned.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards during food handling and service.
- Perform other duties assigned in support of essential operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage warmly with a diverse guest population.
- Basic math proficiency for accurate cash handling, making change, and balancing a cash drawer.
- Ability to operate a POS system or willingness to learn with on-the-job training.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods throughout a shift.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
- Ability to work a varied schedule including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check in accordance with company policy.
- Compliance with uniform and appearance standards
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Server or in a customer service role within the restaurant industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is an advantage.
