BEPC is actively seeking a Tissue Specialist to join a leading medical device manufacturer in Plymouth, MN. This position supports the production of life-saving structural heart devices in a cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate has exceptional hand dexterity, enjoys detailed work, and is comfortable performing precision sewing and assembly under a microscope.
The Tissue Specialist is responsible for the precise assembly of structural heart devices using fine sewing techniques, microscopes, and specialized hand tools. This role requires exceptional attention to detail while maintaining compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble structural heart devices following detailed work instructions and procedures.
- Perform precision sewing using suture and needle under a microscope.
- Utilize microscopes, small hand tools, and calibrated instruments to complete detailed assembly tasks.
- Inspect materials and components to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Support product testing, validation, and manufacturing activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with quality, FDA, and regulatory requirements.
- Keep work areas clean and organized while following cleanroom procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to perform extremely detailed, repetitive work with excellent hand dexterity.
- Experience sewing with a suture and needle is highly preferred.
- Comfortable working under a microscope for extended periods.
- Experience working with small hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
- Cleanroom manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
