We are seeking an agile, detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager in collaboration with the CPO, the HR Specialist is responsible for various HR processes.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Creation of new or vacant positions within the organization
Filling vacant positions within established HMS policies
Advertising of approved positions, local, regional, and national as appropriate.
Assist as needed in recruitment of approved positions.
Management of the application process
- screening applications/applicants
- processing applications as appropriate
- logging applications in compliance with state and federal regulations
- provide support to hiring supervisor in appropriate interviewing processes
Maintain employment applications
Filing and scanning of employee documents and related materials as necessary
Message taking, photo copying, faxing, and preparing correspondence and other HR materials as directed.
Prepare, distribute, collect appropriate signatures, maintain, and audit for accuracy pay roll change notices
Ensure exit interviews are completed and appropriate follow-up action is carried out as appropriate.
Coordinate with unemployment carrier to ensure proper filing and follow-up of unemployment claims.
Create, maintain, and close personnel files in compliance with HMS policy, state and federal regulations
Coordination of new hires within the organization in compliance with HMS policy.
Assist with new employee orientation for all staff, including submission of all required documents associated with a new hire.
Documentation of all employee training, in-service, continuing education, and evaluations.
Employment verification for all staff including licensed staff in compliance with HMS policy and state and federal regulations
Assists with compensation surveys, local, regional and national as necessary.
Provide support and guidance to all HMS employees in reference to personnel policies and procedures
Prepare, distribute, and collect benefit enrollment forms including medical, dental, life, disability, and 401(k) as appropriate
Monitor leave for FMLA, worker's compensation, short term disability, long-term disability or other leave as required.
Assist employees with paperwork for FMLA, workers compensation, short term disability, long term disability or other leaves as required.
Prepare and distribute COBRA notices compliant with state and federal regulations
Conducts staff training related to HR areas as appropriate
Create and maintain spreadsheets, logs, and data bases as necessary
Assist with all aspects related to department functions
Purge HR files as appropriate
Distribute, collect, monitor, document and track evaluations for employees, 90 day and annual in a timely manner. Ensure evaluations are appropriately scored, and merit increases are reported processed timely.
Distribute, collect, monitor, document, and track initial and annual TB testing, vaccinations, and questionnaires as appropriate.
Assist HR staff with all aspects related to department functions as needed.
Perform all other related duties as assigned
