Overview
Are you an experienced carpenter or deck builder looking to take the next step into a leadership role? Do you enjoy working with your hands, building outdoor structures, and leading a small crew in the field?
We are hiring a Lead Deck Builder / Crew Lead to run a 3-person crew building residential and commercial decks and outdoor structures. This is a year-round, stable opportunity with strong pay and consistent work.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and work alongside a small crew building decks, framing, stairs, and outdoor structures
- Perform hands-on carpentry work including measuring, cutting, framing, and installation
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Assign daily tasks and help keep projects on schedule
- Ensure job site safety, quality standards, and OSHA compliance
- Train and support crew members on tools, safety, and construction best practices
- Communicate progress with project management
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of carpentry, framing, deck building, or construction experience
- Experience with residential or exterior construction preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans
- Comfortable leading or guiding a small crew (or looking to grow into leadership)
- Reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round
Nice to Have
- Previous crew lead, lead carpenter, or foreman experience
- Experience with composite decking systems (Trex, TimberTech, etc.)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Pay & Benefits
- $27–$32/hr depending on experience
- Year-round, stable employment (not seasonal)
