Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional massage therapy services that promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to deliver tailored treatments that meet individual client needs. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Perform various massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities aimed at pain management and relaxation.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing health improvement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional treatment environment in accordance with occupational health standards.
- Document client progress and treatment details accurately in compliance with medical and spa industry regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education to enhance skills and service quality.
- Provide excellent patient service by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing client concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist.
- Proven experience in medical spa settings or similar environments preferred; experience with occupational health is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
- Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively.
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and adapt treatments accordingly.
- Knowledge of occupational health standards to ensure safe practice environments.
- Prior experience with med spa procedures is desirable but not required; willingness to learn new techniques is essential.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
