Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating residential and commercial construction projects; however, we are open to training the right entry-level candidate who is eager to learn and grow in the construction industry.
This position is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate in construction management or a related field, or for someone with hands-on field experience such as carpentry or other construction trades who is looking to transition into an estimating role.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Assist with preparing and submitting bids and proposals
- Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and scope information
- Maintain organized records of estimates and project documentation
Qualifications:
- Good understanding of construction practices and principles
- Ability to clearly read and understand blueprints and bid documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong organizational skills and a solid work ethic
- Prior estimating experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate
- Field experience in construction (such as carpentry) is a plus
