Veterinary Technician

Founded in 1988, Weems and Stephens Equine Hospital is a full-service equine hospital established as a 24-hour a day referral center for horses requiring specialized medical and surgical care. We offer a full range of services including surgery, internal medicine, reproduction, sports medicine, advanced diagnostic imaging, and podiatry. We strive to provide premier quality care to our patients and have committed our professional attention to raising the standard of equine care.
We are growing and are looking for a talented Veterinary Technician to join our team. This position will primarily be responsible for, however not limited to, the following duties:
- Daily treatment of in-house horses
- Assist with outpatient and ambulatory appointments
- Utilize and maintain in-house lab equipment
- Thoroughly clean exam rooms and medical equipment
- Assist with surgeries as needed

Physical Requirements Include: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, jog horses, frequently bend, stoop, and kneel, and lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
This is an hourly, full-time position with bonus opportunity. Total compensation is in the range of $35,360 - $45,760 per year depending on experience. Medical experience with horses and the veterinary industry is preferred but not required.
