OverviewWe are a private practice looking to add an Insurance Coordinator to our team! As the Insurance Coordinator, you will be the primary liaison between the dental practice, patients, and insurance providers. Experience is preferred.
What you’ll do
- New Patient Intake - Gather and enter all necessary information for first time patients, enter insurance plan and complete benefit breakdown into Dentrix.
- Insurance Verification - Confirm patient eligibility and obtain detailed breakdowns of benefits (deductibles, copays, frequencies, and maximums) prior to appointments
- Pre-Authorizations - Submit pre-treatment estimates to insurance carriers for major dental procedures to ensure coverage clarity.
- Co-Pay Estimation - Calculate patient out-of-pocket costs prior to treatment by cross-referencing plan deductibles, remaining maximums, and category percentages.
- Claim Submission - Prepare and submit dental insurance claims daily with required documentation like X-rays or narratives.
- Accounts Receivable Tracking - Monitor the dental insurance aging report and follow up on outstanding claims over 30 days.
- Data Management - Maintain up-to-date insurance fee schedules and update patient records with current policy changes.
Basic qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with Current Dental Terminology (CDT) codes and structural PPO/Medicaid nuances.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
