Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
Monday start time: 3:00 PM
Shift Differential: +$2.50/hour

Position Summary
The Brake Press Operator operates pre-set brake press equipment to produce precision sheet metal parts according to customer specifications and production requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining part quality, operating equipment safely, meeting production expectations, and identifying and communicating any quality or equipment concerns.
What You'll Do
- Operate press brake machines using established setups, programs, and tooling configurations.
- Produce parts that meet print and quality specifications.
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers and angle gauges.
- Identify and promptly communicate setup issues, quality concerns, or machine problems.
- Safely load and unload sheet metal materials.
- Stage completed parts in designated areas and verify part counts.
- Follow job travelers, work instructions, and production requirements.
- Maintain accurate production counts and enter shift information into the ERP system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Participate in 5S standards, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience operating a press brake is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Trumpf, Amada, or similar equipment is a plus.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication equipment is preferred.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools, including:
- Tape measure
- Dial calipers
- Angle gauges
- Ability to read and follow multi-step work orders, job travelers, and written instructions.
- Reliable attendance and ability to maintain a consistent production pace.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to learn new equipment, tooling configurations, processes, and quality standards.
- No direct press brake experience? Tongrun is willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the appropriate attitude and aptitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to repeatedly and safely lift and handle materials, parts, and tooling weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the production area for most of the workday.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as required.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements.
- Ability to safely operate a pallet jack.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
