A well-established food manufacturing company in Bangor with approximately 50 employees is seeking an experienced Human Resources Clerk to join our team. This is a part-time position working 24–32 hours per week, with the opportunity to play a key role in supporting all aspects of our human resources operations.
Compensation: Competitive and based on experience.
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Clerk will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining a variety of HR functions, including:
- Creating and managing job advertisements
- Reviewing employment applications
- Conducting initial telephone interviews
- Coordinating and scheduling in-person interviews with leadership
- Onboarding new employees
- Maintaining employee personnel files
- Updating the employee handbook and job descriptions
- Entering and maintaining employee information in the payroll system
- Tracking paid time off (PTO) balances and employee benefits
- Scheduling and documenting employee training
- Coordinating workers' compensation claims and documentation
- Managing FMLA documentation and recordkeeping
- Scheduling, documenting, and maintaining Safety Committee meetings
- Assisting with HR compliance and other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous Human Resources experience required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based payroll and HR systems
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
