Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients and assist nursing staff in delivering high-quality care in various settings, including Level I and II Trauma Centers, long-term care facilities, and memory care units. This role is vital in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide support during medical procedures in the Operating Room (OR) and assist with emergency medicine when necessary.
- Help patients with mobility by lifting or transferring them safely using appropriate techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately using electronic health records systems such as eClinicalWorks.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is preferred.
- Experience in long-term care or memory care environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with trauma center operations (Level I or II) is advantageous.
- Ability to lift patients safely and effectively while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
