Position Summary: The Security Administrative Assistant provides technical and administrative support for the MARMC Security Department’s Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Ship Visit Request (SHVR) databases. Responsibilities include supporting security planning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance; collecting and presenting security-related data; coordinating with government personnel, contractors, and external agencies to maintain accurate access-control information; and monitoring and updating command spreadsheets, databases, and security documentation.

Provide technical and administrative support for PII, Ship Visit Request (SHVR), and Access Control System (ACS) databases.

Enter, update, audit, and maintain security, access-control, clearance, visitor, and citizenship records in accordance with government standards.

Coordinate visit requests, camera passes, authorization letters, badges, fingerprinting, and other access requirements with government personnel, contractors, and external agencies.

Assist with developing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining security procedures, systems, spreadsheets, and documentation.

Support base-access reviews, visitor processing, badge management, security logs, key and lock controls, and facility-closing procedures.

Identify and report data discrepancies while ensuring access lists and security records remain accurate and current.

Assist with security training, emergency support, travel briefings, antiterrorism measures, CAC resets, and the authorized destruction of sensitive materials.

Support physical, personnel, industrial, information, operational, insider-threat, and visitor-control security programs.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of three years of job-related experience in one or more security disciplines:
-
Physical Security.
-
Anti-Terrorism Measures.
-
Personal Security.
-
Industrial Security.
-
Military Security Functions.
-
Operations Security (OPSEC)
-
Incident Response and Threat Mitigation.
-
Experience applying fact-finding, analytical, and problem-solving methods.

Knowledge of physical security operations, security systems administration, CCTV monitoring, and watch-standing procedures.

Experience administering or operating Lenel or comparable electronic security systems.

Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Ability to understand and follow established government security procedures, policies, and documentation requirements.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Work may require frequent bending, reaching and climbing.

May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.

Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions.
