The Field Service Technician is responsible for representing the company in assigned territories while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, technical expertise, safety, and customer service. This position performs installation, troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and customer support for company dispensing systems, treatment equipment, and related solutions.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, mechanically inclined, and capable of working independently while following company procedures, documentation requirements, and service standards. This role requires frequent travel and the ability to manage service activities in a remote territory while maintaining strong communication with the company and customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Represent the company professionally while working independently in assigned customer locations and territories.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair company dispensing and treatment systems, including Green Guardian, Drain Flo, SelectO Flo, dilution systems, NatureScent units, and other assigned equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance services according to company SOPs and customer service requirements.
- Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs efficiently to minimize customer downtime.
- Conduct equipment inspections, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Provide customer training on proper equipment operation, product usage, and system maintenance.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, including service reports, photographs, notes, mileage records, and required documentation through NetSuite Field Service Management (FSM).
- Maintain assigned tools, equipment, service materials, and company assets in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
- Follow all company safety policies, installation procedures, and quality standards.
- Communicate service updates, customer concerns, equipment issues, and project status with management.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful installations, repairs, and customer support.
- Travel throughout assigned territory and perform overnight travel as required.
- Respond to priority service requests and customer needs based on business requirements.
- Participate in ongoing technical training, product education, and operational improvement programs.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly, including overnight travel as required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting equipment, systems, or machinery.
- Experience with installation, maintenance, repair, or field service preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and complete tasks independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read technical instructions, follow procedures, and document service activities accurately.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment, tools, and materials as required.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining company standards and accountability.
Work Environment
This position is primarily field-based and requires travel to customer locations within an assigned territory. The technician may work independently in commercial environments, mechanical spaces, indoor/outdoor locations, and areas where cleaning chemicals and service equipment are present.
The Field Service Technician is expected to maintain a professional appearance, follow all company policies, and consistently represent the company’s values and service standards while working away from the main facility.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
