Are you passionate about quality, continuous improvement, and making a real impact on how products are delivered to customers? We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Specialist to join our Windsor Locks team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards, supporting production excellence, and driving continuous improvement across the plant.
This position reports to the Quality Manager and works closely with cross-functional teams to support quality systems, audits, documentation control, and finished goods release processes.
What you’ll do
You’ll be at the center of our quality systems, ensuring compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement across operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct quality control audits to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities, and support corrective actions
- Evaluate production processes, systems, and technology to recommend improvements that strengthen quality compliance and reduce non-conformance risk
- Support and coordinate quality training and education initiatives across the plant in partnership with the Quality Manager
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality policies, procedures, and standards
- Review work-in-progress materials and disposition non-first-quality product
- Evaluate finished goods to ensure only first-quality product is released for shipment based on physical, dimensional, and microbiological testing results
- Review inbound raw materials for compliance with specifications
- Manage document control and change management systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Oversee bio-burden testing programs
- Prepare and distribute Customer Certificates of Analysis (COAs) daily and maintain customer distribution lists
- Perform laboratory testing (physical and microbiological), and maintain accurate records and test archives
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional quality projects
- Communicate deviations from quality standards to production, supply chain, and relevant stakeholders
- Provide backup support to the Quality Engineer and assist the Quality Manager as needed

Pay: $25.11 - $30.24 per hour
