Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in providing support and education to clients, helping them achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client behavior and progress to ensure effective treatment.
- Assist clients in developing daily living skills and social interactions.
- Provide support and guidance to clients during therapy sessions, promoting positive behaviors.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
Skills
- Proficient in data collection methods relevant to behavioral therapy.
- Understanding of behavioral health concepts and medical terminology.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism
- Ability to work with children with challenging behaviors and follow their BIP with fidelity
- Strong interpersonal skills for assisting children effectively.
- Ability to educate clients and families on behavioral strategies.
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques is preferred.
