Let’s start with a few questions. Be honest:
- Are you a top performer in retail, cell phone sales, or hospitality, but you are tired of working crazy shifts for a paycheck that never seems to reflect how hard you hustle?
- Do you love working with people, but absolutely hate the pushy, sleazy "car salesman" stereotype?
- Do you want a career where you can actually help people rebuild their lives, while making incredible money doing it?
- Are you looking for a company that will train you from scratch, invest in your growth, and cares more about your work ethic than your resume?
If you answered "YES" to those questions, keep reading. You might be exactly who we are looking for.
The Opportunity:
At 321 Drive, we are actively looking for talent from outside the automotive industry. If you have the drive, the emotional intelligence, and the ability to talk to anyone, we will teach you how to sell cars. We are looking for people who want a career, not just a job, and want to eventually grow into leadership roles as our company expands.
Who We Are:
We are a premier Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) dealership. That means we don’t just sell cars; we are the bank. Our mission is to help our community get back on the road and rebuild their financial futures. Many of our customers have faced tough times and have bad credit. We treat every single person who walks onto our lot with dignity, empathy, and respect.
What You Will Do:
- Consultative Selling: You aren't just pushing metal. You will interview customers to understand their life situation, calculate their real budget, and match them with a reliable vehicle they can actually afford.
- Overcome Obstacles: You will guide customers through the approval process, clearly explaining loan terms, down payments, and the importance of rebuilding their credit.
- Follow-Up & Prospecting: You will master our CRM system to track leads, follow up with past customers, and generate your own referral business.
- Merchandise the Lot: A "No Ego" approach. Whether it's moving inventory, wiping down a car, or taking fresh photos of a vehicle, you do what it takes to make the business look great and the team succeed.
Who You Are:
- A People Person: You have high emotional intelligence. You can build rapport with anyone and make them feel comfortable making a big financial decision.
- Resilient: You don’t let a "No" ruin your day. You have thick skin and a relentless drive to succeed.
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable using computers, texting platforms, and learning new software to track your customers.
- Reliable: You show up on time, hungry to work, and ready to learn.
The Schedule:
We believe in working hard while you are here so you can enjoy your time off.
- Weekdays: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM (4 days a week; you get a scheduled weekday off).
- Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Required - this is our biggest money-making day!).
- Sundays: Always Closed.
Benefits:
- Health, Dental, and Vision insurance.
- Health savings account
- Paid time off.
To Apply:
Please submit your resume. If your background isn't in automotive, we strongly encourage you to apply anyway!
IMPORTANT: Please complete the short screener questions attached to this application. We actually read these to bypass the resume and find the superstars who pay attention to details. Show us how your brain works!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Dental insurance
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Vision insurance
Application Question(s):
- What part of Nashville do you live in?
- Are you able to work every Saturday as part of your schedule?
- A customer falls in love with a vehicle on our lot that they simply cannot afford, and they are getting upset that you won't approve them for it. Walk us through exactly how you de-escalate the situation and switch them to a car that actually fits their budget without losing the sale.
- It is 2:00 PM on a Tuesday. It has been raining all day and not a single customer has walked onto the lot. Your manager is busy in the office. What are you doing for the next two hours to ensure you are still productive?
- Many of our customers have bad credit due to divorce, medical bills, or job loss, and are embarrassed to be shopping for a car. Why does the idea of helping people in tough situations rebuild their lives appeal to you?
- Since we love hiring outside of the car business, what is one specific skill from your previous jobs (whether it was waiting tables, retail, cell phone sales, or customer service) that will make you a top-tier salesperson at 321 Drive?
Work Location: In person
