Come grow with us! We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team working Mon-Thurs 6:30 am - 4:30 pm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC operations and programming, with the ability to work with precision and attention to detail. This role is crucial for producing high-quality components that meet specific engineering standards. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring that production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality protocols.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to produce precision parts.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications, applying GD&T principles as necessary.
- Program CNC machines using appropriate software, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to fabricate components
- Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and reduce waste.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Operate forklifts safely to move materials and finished products as required.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of 4 years of work experience.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM, preferably Gibbs CAM
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques, welding, and machining processes.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Competency with all types of measuring devices
- Interpret 2-D and 3-D drawings
